Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
Short version: we collect your email address only if you subscribe to the newsletter, we run no analytics or advertising trackers, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Superfoods Advisor (superfoodsadvisor.com) is an independent publication. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to editor@superfoodsadvisor.com.
The newsletter
- What we collect: the email address you enter, and the date you subscribed and confirmed.
- Why: to send the newsletter you asked for. The legal basis is your consent, given when you subscribe and confirm.
- How: the list is held by AcumbaMail, an email service based in Spain, which sends the emails for us and processes your address on our behalf. You will receive a confirmation email before you are added.
- How long: until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends.
What the site does not do
No analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no account system, and no comments. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google. We do not sell or share personal data.
Things stored in your browser
Two small preferences, kept on your own device and never sent to us: recipe units and serving size (so a recipe opens the way you last set it), and, for the current visit only, whether you closed the "Top pick" bar on a review. Neither is a cookie, and neither identifies you.
Third parties you may contact through the site
- Hosting: like any website, the company that hosts it processes your IP address to deliver pages, and may keep short-lived server logs.
- Amazon: some product photos on review pages load directly from Amazon's image servers, so Amazon receives your IP address when those pages load. Product links go to Amazon.com through the Amazon Associates program; once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy notice and cookies apply. We receive commission reports from Amazon, not your identity.
- Sources: links to studies and other sites take you to those sites, under their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice, your newsletter email address), or withdraw consent, by writing to editor@superfoodsadvisor.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
